Maserati Ghibli, Price from 66,500€

Maserati Ghibli

Nearly two months after his presentation, Maserati unveils rates his new weapon of mass marketing, Ghibli.

It is a revolution in Maserati. Not only revives the legendary Trident name Ghibli vested in the late 1960s to a cut and a convertible Grand Touring, but invests more in a new segment to which it is not used. The new Ghibli is indeed a family sedan, somehow the new gateway into the world of legendary builder of Modena.

Unveiled in early April, she made her first public not in China, Shanghai show sign of the ambitions of the brand on the large-scale sales. After the Quattroporte is the new weapon of Maserati to reach a wider audience, diesel engine key!

Diesel to counter the German

One that could easily be called "small Quattroporte" may indeed be kicking over the traces, giving the fuel with a 3.0 L V6 diesel entry level, with 275 horses, the less powerful the block range from the Italian manufacturer. What to ask an alternative to BMW 530d (258HP) and Audi A6 3.0 TDI (245hp).

For those unfortunate that such a choice would see the pedigree of the brand, a V6 3.0 liter petrol is also in the catalog, developing 330hp as standard and 410hp version "S". This last, crowning engine offers the Ghibli may also be chosen with all-wheel drive as the "S Q4."

Standard equipment from the V6 diesel

The equipment, the Ghibli obviously wants upscale and offers from the diesel V6 many standard features. Starting out with rims 18 ", bi-xenon lights and two double tailpipes. Inside, the leather on the seats invite the seat (folding 40/60) and driving. Note also the touch screen of 7.2 "controlling radio, CD / DVD, USB or Bluetooth.

As for comfort, automatic dual-zone climate found, adjustable steering wheel height and depth, the Bluetooth hands-free kit or the Start & Stop system. For safety, the Ghibli is equipped with dual stage front airbags, knee airbags, and side curtains.

Rates

This is the point of view of price Maserati hits hard, with entry-level € 66,500, a rate broadly equivalent to those of German diesels. The 3.0 L V6 Diesel and appears to € 66,500 (€ 1,500 malus), just below the 3.0 V6 petrol to € 68,500 (€ 6,000). "S" version, count € 81,200 (€ 6,000) to which you add € 2,950 for AWD. Note that all models are 8-speed automatic transmission.

You may have noticed, in terms of CO2 emissions, the Italians are far from the Germans with higher penalties. Will substantially burden the bill, as the list of options provided by Maserati, bloated.
