Bollore BlueCar - BlueCar Takes Shape

After several prototypes, Bolloré BlueCar finally
unveil its final version
Promise for more than five years, the Bolloré electric car does not always travels our roads. But its standard version begins to point the hood, although many questions remain unanswered.

Since the presentation of the first prototype in 2005, the Bolloré BlueCar is desired. Several other studies, more realistic, have been revealed, but so far nothing concrete.
The revelation of a near-final version of the last World Cup, was also carried out in the utmost discretion. The French group, however, seems to be closer to the goal. In the last picture provided, the electric city adopts a very realistic look, with a stern that is reminiscent of some Citroen C1. Its canvas roof returns meanwhile another creation Chevrons, the iconic 2CV. Even though the similarity ends: with a 68 hp electric motor and its unique lithium-polymer battery in the automotive sector, this four-seater of 3.65 m long and 1.70 m wide seems resolutely forward. Like its variant three-seater (third image), only slightly longer than a Smart Fortwo (2.85 m).

However, the near future is something disturbing. By October 2011, the four-seater BlueCar must be ready for the launch of Autolib, the short-term rental program promised by the Mayor of Paris. However, at present, little Bolloré is still not approved. The French group has also not decided which city would be the factory manufactured, because his relationship with his partner Pininfarina, in serious financial trouble, have seriously degraded. As for the lithium-polymer battery, even if it is already widespread in the computer world, it has yet to prove itself for automotive use. In short, the shadow areas are more likely than cloudy, and the press department of the manufacturer hardly wanted to find out.
