BMW 4 Series Coupe: 3-Door Version of the 3 Series

Called BMW 4 Series Coupe, and is the version with 3-door body of the BMW 3 Series. Replaces both the BMW 3 Series Coupé, which is bigger. It will go on sale later this year, with three engines and power between 184 and 306 hp.

It is the first time that BMW changed the designation of the series for sporty versions of its midsize sedan, with which it shares mechanical basis. The engines of the BMW 4 Series Coupe

For its launch in October BMW 4 Series Coupe will come with three engines. The BMW 435i Coupe equipped with the six-cylinder petrol engine with 306 hp, while the BMW 428i Coupe also uses the four-cylinder petrol with 245 hp, both with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology. The option will be the BMW 420d diesel 4-cylinder with 184 hp. These engines are the same and agree with the power currently used by the BMW 3 Series Sedan.

All engines come standard gearbox six-speed manual, but optionally can be mounted 8-speed automatic transmission. The petrol versions will also have an option of xDrive AWD BMW.

A little later the release, but also in 2013, the range will be expanded with the BMW 430d Coupé to 258 hp, BMW 435d Coupe 313 hp and the BMW 420i Coupe 184 hp.
The interior of the Series 4 Coupe

The dashboard design is identical to the BMW 3 Series. The seats of the rear seats can be folded in proportion 40/20/40, and there will be three equipment lines, Sport Line, Modern Line and Luxury Line, and M Sport Kit As specific features, the seats have a sportier design.

No new product at the supply of multimedia systems or driving aids, which can be the same as in the BMW 3 Series sedan.
